hi mckyla,

You'll have to be more specific for me to be able to help you.
Also, please start a new topic for your issue.

Let me know where exactly you are getting stuck and we'll go from there :)

Re: Question before I buy...

If your game is 2D pixel art you can probably use a different, simpler system to manage your tiled maps. Tiled to Unity will help you more if you are making a 3D or 2.5D game. In any case, Tiled to Unity can do you what you want, but you would need to create a plane with the correct UV for each tile...

Re: Question before I buy...

It can be loaded dynamically, you don't need to have it in the project. Edit: One thing that does need to exist beforehand, is the 3D geometry representing those tiles and their link to particular map tiles. So your .tsx will have to be done beforehand, unless you really want to do a lot of work to ...

Re: Post Your OBEY Shenanigans Here!

Hey Clerindo,

OBEY has been fairly moribund for a while. But your best bet is posting on the Steam forums. There are posts there every once in a while with other players who want to get together to play :)

Re: >> Call for OBEY Servers <<

Steam allows you to make a group:
You click on your name at the top of Steam > groups > and then at the top you can create your own group.

You can associate it with OBEY or whatever you like and invite whoever you want :)

Re: PING/PONG

I would use a network sniffer to see what a regular client of undernet does.
Then you can mimic that same thing with your client.

The return PONG might just need to be in a particular format or syntax that you are not using.

Re: Password protection on server

as far as emoji's I have used this gui package: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/gui/ngui-next-gen-ui-2413 ngui is a pain in the ass in my view, but it does provide an easy way to add icons and custom characters to text. As far as color, that is easy enough with default unity syntax <colo...

Re: Password protection on server

Nice ^ _ ^

As far as emoji's and colored names, I am afraid those are outside of the purview of EasyIRC.
Code it up! :)

Let me know if you have any issues with EasyIRC and I will be happy to help.

Re: Password protection on server

Hi Dez, what's a network sniffer? I've never heard of that term before. It's just a software tool you can run on your computer that will analyze all incoming/outgoing traffic on your network card. You can use it to see exactly what is coming and going and one of the things its helpful for is debugg...

Re: Password protection on server

If you have other software that successfully connects to the server, you can either instrument it or you can run a network sniffer at the same while you run it. The network sniffer will easily pick out the IRC messages and you can see exactly what is being sent. Then, the problem just becomes making...

Re: Password protection on server

Hmm, if I understand correctly what you mean... According to the spec at section 3.1.1 there is a way to provide a connection password. You can provide it with the keyword PASS Hence, in line 351, before the nick is sent, try adding the following streamOUT.WriteLine("PASS " + yourServerPas...

Re: Password protection on server

Hi there, the script does it as far as I know, in the standard IRC way. which is: JOIN #channelName password according to spec 2812 , you can use: JOIN &channelName password so maybe change the # to a & on line 675? Let me know if that doesn't work. If your IRC server requires something else...
