Isometric Map Question

Postby grierson » Tue Jun 21, 2016 1:42 pm

I am building my dungeon floors in Iso In tiled. I have also purchased tiled to Unity. I am hoping that in the conversion each tile will be put on a mesh is this true?

I haven't tested Tiled to Unity in isometric mode.
It may work out of the box, but there might be caveats or problems, I simply don't know.
I would do some tests first using the example demo assets to make sure it behaves like you want it to.

If there is a problem let me know and I can look into it. If that problem turns out to be out of scope to fix, you can always just make the map in a grid form in Tiled, and simply display the geometry in Unity as isometric.

Lets get a little closer. Here you see the party has entered and is about to confront a large creature coming through a hallway. Who bets that silly paladin will get into melee in the corridor and block his archery support? With the isometric map, plenty of room for this bulky oversized miniature and the action is easy to see.
